Hello! Welcome to my livejournal! My name's Starshine, well not really, but you knew that. I am the co-owner of the discovergerry.net website, along with ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) mischa8. Mischa and I met, because it was the day I joined, October 31st, 2006, on a now defunct website named gbutler.net. We became fast friends, and realized we could read each other's minds, especially when it comes to Gerard Butler. We had long conversations, still do, over AIM, about how we could reinvigorate membership and member response on that former website. We brought our ideas to the owner. She told us no, but of course, within the next few months, we began to realize that she did take our ideas and pawning them off on her own. Of course, we were angry. This owner was busy in her personal life, like we weren't, and finally decided that she could no longer run the site on a regular basis. It was there, but people were either mad at her, looking at old information, and basically left to their own devices as she came in every once in a long while. Because she had taken our ideas for her own, mischa8 and I decided the only thing we could do was to start our own website, so that all of our ideas would be heard and used. Let me just say, we were scared (still are truthfully LOL) but we prodded on trying to figure out what we could do. We both know it's so much work to have an active website, and I think you really have to care about the actor's career to do it as well. We have both spent many hours working to make it the best we can, making decisions jointly all the way.
